Fasst Company’s Taylor Kiser took home the win at round 9 of the GNCC series in Lafayette, Tennessee. We are pleased to announce that Fasst Company’s lawsuit alleging that ATV Four-Play’s original Soft-bar handlebar design infringed Fasst Company’s U.S. Patent No. 6,860,500 has been resolved by settlement.
Fasst Company has spent considerable time and money researching and developing the design and functionality of the extremely popular Flexx Handlebar System. Through our intellectual property law firm, Knobbe, Martens, Olson and Bear LLP, Fasst Company has obtained intellectual property protection for the Flexx Handlebar System, including U.S. Patent No. 6,860,500, as well as other patents pending. Fasst Company will continue to protect its investment in its intellectual property, including by filing lawsuits where necessary.
Before consumers consider competing products, they should consider the actual testing, reputation, design, materials and manufacturing techniques of the handlebar in question. We are confident that such a comparison will result in the purchase of the Flexx Handlebar System.
January 16, 2009
If you are attending the opening round of the WORCS event this weekend stop by the TBT rig for Fasst Company trackside support. Our man, Chris Avery will be out there all weekend assisting Flexx Handlebar riders. It has come to Fasst Company’s attention that ATV Four-Play is offering for sale the Soft Bar ATV handlebar that appears to infringe Fasst Company’s U.S. patent # 6,860,500. Fasst Company has spent considerable time and money researching and developing the design and functionality of the extremely popular Flexx Handlebar System. Through our intellectual property law firm, Knobbe, Martens, Olson and Bear LLP, Fasst Company has also invested significant resources in obtaining intellectual property protection for the Flexx Handlebar System, including the 6,860,500 patent.
Fasst Company wishes to make clear to the industry that it has not licensed ATV Four-Play under the 6,860,500 patent nor has it condoned the blatant copying of the Flexx Handlebar System by ATV Four-Play.
“Sometime Tuesday our phone and email systems became overwhelmed with calls and emails from customers, racers, dealers, and industry associates concerning ATV Four-Play’s deliberate copying of our Flexx Handlebar. It is a great complement to us as a company to know we have such great support from our loyal customers and industry associates. Obviously these people realize the care and sacrifice we make to bring authentic original products to market and were concerned by such a lack of respect for Fasst Company and our intellectual property,” said Cole Townsend, Fasst Company’s President. “Our technology and customer service along with our commitment to only manufacture our products in the United States out of the best materials is what separates our company and handlebar from everyone else’s. It is unfortunate that we have to take action, but we will protect our technology by any means required.”
Based on the striking similarity between the Soft Bar and the Flexx Handlebar, ATV Four-Play’s activities appear to be a willful disregard of Fasst Company’s intellectual property rights. ATV Four-Play has shown a lack of respect for Fasst Company, our patent, and traditional notions of fair play. Their actions are unauthentic and disingenuous to the ATV industry and enthusiasts as a whole. Although imitation is a form of flattery, in the context of patent infringement it is also a form of stealing. ATV Four-Plays actions are unacceptable and Fasst Company will not stand for them.
Fasst Company is currently assessing its options for response to ATV Four-Play’s willful disregard of Fasst Company’s intellectual property rights.

We are wide open in preparation for 2009! We just signed the Vali Motorsports team of Bobby Bonds, Kyle Summers and Bobby Garrison. Bonds has been on the Flexx Handlebar System for a couple of seasons now and is only a couple of points of the WORCS Championship. Summers has been running the bars all fall and is stoked on the Flexx Handlebar's performance. Before this deal got done Bobby Garrison actually had a dream about running the Flexx Handlebar System! Needless to say we are very excited about working with the Vali team.

Check out this race report we stumbled on about the Baja 500 written by the Metal Mulisha’s Jeff “Ox” Kargola. Ox ran a set of our new 10* sweep Flexx Handlebars, but they were actually the mini bend we sent Brian Deegan to test. That’s a narrow bar for a tall rider, but from what we heard he did not want to race with out them! Read about it here
April 14, 2008

We just got back from cruising the Anaheim SX pits to be sure all of our teams and riders are dialed before the rain rolls in. We have over 90% of the teams as usual running our Spoke Torque Wrench for the 8th year in a row. Our Brake Clevis and Rim Lock Spacers were on a lot of bikes throughout the pits, most notably the ultra clean Gibbs Racing Yamahas, and Torco Fuels Factory Connection Honda bikes. We even saw our clevis on certain #22 Yamaha that had been sand blasted to disguise it.
We want to wish Kevin Rookstool good luck on his Pro Ride.com, Flexx Handlebar System controlled KXF 250. Kevin’s had a great off season and is looking for a great SX season.

Fasst Company’s Anti-Vibration Inserts just received
a 10
out of 10 from Transworld Motocross' Product Report in the September
2007 issue. The report stated “the difference is easy to
detect from the moment you fire up your motorcycle, as the buzz transferred through
the handlebars is drastically reduced. The Fasst Company Inserts are
not new, but they are a staple when it comes to making your bike more comfortable
and easier to ride hard throughout an entire moto.”

ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP 14,731 ACRES OF OCOTILLO WELLS SVRA FOR A GEOTHERMAL
POWER DEVELOPMENT?
The Federal Bureau of Land Management wants to lease 14,731 acres of

same.

Fasst Company’s revolutionary Brake Clevis has quickly become
the choice of the elite Factory and Factory supported race teams.
Since its introduction in late 2006, the Brake Clevis has added
value to riders by offering increased braking performance while
eliminating the play in the rear brake pedal. Top riders like Travis
Preston, Nick Wey, David Vuillemin, Tyler Evans and others
have all enjoyed the benefits of the Brake Clevis in 2007.
On March 17,
2007 the Brake Clevis helped Brandon Jesseman take his YZF
250 to victory,
as he won the Orlando Supercorss. Fasst Company’s has been working
with the Motoworld Yamaha team all season and is looking forward to helping
Motoworld team riders stay up front for the remainder of the season.
Billy Laninovich ended the night in 5th position, Billy has been
using the Brake Clevis all season as well as the rest of the Sobe / Samsung
Mobile / No Fear Honda squad. Motosport
Kawasaki’s Robert Kiniry used his Fasst Company Brake Clevis
to slow his KXF 250 down as he rounded the first turn with the hole shot.
The Brake Clevis is now available
for all two wheel motorcycles and the TRX 450 four wheeler, all other
four wheel models will be available in summer 2007.
